The councils of Trinity Episcopal Church oversee, plan and implement the ministry and activities of the Church.

The Councils are:

Council Descriptions:

Executive Council

Chair: Fr. Ken Ritter, Rector
Clergy Moderator: Fr. Ken Ritter
 
The Executive Council is composed of the Rector, Senior Warden, Junior Warden, Secretary and Treasurer.  It may meet between Vestry meetings, plan the agenda for Vestry meetings, follow up on the functions and activities of the church, and may advise the Rector in the administration of the church.

Worship Council 

Chair: Fr. Ken Ritter, Rector
Clergy Moderator: Fr. Ken Ritter

The Worship Council advises the Rector in activities that promote the worship and spiritual development of the church.

Outreach Council 

Chair: Mrs. Virginia Black
Clergy Moderator: Fr. Tim Heflin

The Outreach Council shall oversees programs and activities that reach into the community and the world beyond the church and its internal concerns.  The council's responsibilities may include the planning and administration of programs caring for the hungry, homeless, needy disadvantaged, sick or the aged.  It is responsible for raising the awareness of the church of these needs and making opportunities for service available to individuals and groups within the church.

Finance Council

The Finance Council is responsible for the financial and business-related aspects of the church, as well as the maintenance, security and development of the church's buildings and grounds.  It monitors the finances and stewardship of the church and prepares periodic financial reports and the annual budget.

Christian Education and Spiritual Formation Council

Clergy Moderator: Fr. Tim Heflin

The Christian Education and Spiritual Formation Council works with the Rector and the Christian Education Director in developing and promoting Christian education for all age groups.  The Council assists in the planning of curriculum and policies for Sunday School, summer education programs, and adult education.

Pastoral Care Council

The Pastoral Care Council oversees the pastoral care ministries within the church, including hospital, nursing home and shut-in visitation, and special programs that may aid those in need.

Parish Life Council 

Chair: Ms. Kathy Holt
Clergy Moderator: Fr. Tim Heflin

The Parish Life Council oversees the coordination of fellowship and social activities of the church. Christian fellowship organizations for the men, women and youth of the church minister under the guidance of this council.

Youth Council 

Chair: Ms. Sarah Saik
Clergy Moderator: Fr. Tim Heflin

The Youth Council advises the Rector, the Vestry and the Director of Youth Ministry regarding the ministry and activities of the parish youth group.  The Youth Group and the Youth Council provide for activities for and ministry to the young people of the church including fellowship, spiritual formation and service.

Board of Trustees of Trinity Episcopal Day School

Chair: Mr. Ed Stauss
Clergy Moderator: Fr. Ken Ritter

The Board of Trustees, with the guidance of the Rector and the Vestry, is responsible for the governance of the school, primarily through the setting of school policy and for the fiscal health of Trinity Episcopal Day School.

Welcome Council

Chair:
Clergy Moderator:  Fr. Tim Heflin
The Welcome Council oversees the assimilation of newcomers, including the newly baptized, confirmed and received, and their families.  It also supervise the church greeters and the greeter ministry.
