Acolytes (also called "Servers") serve at the altar and in the Eucharist worship service. Their duties include the carrying of the Cross in procession, carying incense when used, carrying torches in procession and serving at the altar during the Liturgy of the Table. Acolytes serve on teams and are assigned to various services on a rotating schedule. Rising 4th Graders and above may serve as Acolytes.
