Trinity Columbarium

For many years, parishioners inquired as to the possibility of Trinity building a Columbarium, a sacred final resting place for themselves and their families. In the summer of 2011, with the generosity of several Trinity families, the Trinity Columbarium was built. The Columbarium Committee and Vestry chose Ford Thomas, a local woodworker who specializes in sacred spaces, to create the cabinet that houses the niches of the Columbarium. He has created a beautiful space inside the church, that is in keeping with the original architecture.

The Columbarium houses 108 niches, and each niche holds up to two urns. The cost to purchase a niche is $1,000.00. This cost is all inclusive - covering the niche, the polished brass urn (s), the engraved granite faceplate, and perpetual care of the Columbarium.

Funeral services may be held at Trinity Church according to Trinity's guidelines for funeral services. Funeral services may also be held elsewhere.

Interment in the Columbarium is limited to parishioners and former parishioners and their immediate families, as well as clergy and faculty members who have served at Trinity Episcopal Church or Trinity Episcopal Day School.

If you are interested in purchasing a niche or have questions about the Columbarium, please contact Aminta Dupuy in the church office - aminta@trinitybr.org
